Sugarworks' Let's Make Pancakes kit chosen as finalist in National Association of the Specialty Food Trades prestigious
annual award competition
Websterville,
VT - June 14, 2000 -- Highland Sugarworks' Let's Make Pancakes
kit has been chosen as a finalist in the category of Outstanding
Food Gift Pack in the prestigious 2000 NASFT product award competition.
The kit, introduced in October 1999, has received many accolades.
One reviewer from Vegetarian Times (April 2000) said "You
may find yourself waking up early....on Sundays." Final judging
will take place at the summer Fancy Food Show in New York.
Let's
Make Pancakes includes Highland Sugarworks' bestselling buttermilk
pancake mix and pure maple syrup. Also included are a pair of "too
cute" heart-shaped pancake rings, a tin of wild Maine blueberries,
and the finest whisk you can buy. All this is packaged together
in a wonderfully designed, whimsical box -- no wrapping necessary.
Just add a mixing bowl and some water. (Go ahead, brew a pot
of coffee as well!)
Highland Sugarworks
was founded in 1996, and is owned by Judy and Jim MacIsaac, who
just celebrated their fifteenth sugaring season. On a farm in Starksboro,
Vermont, the MacIsaac family runs a 7,500-tap sugaring operation;
the company is based in Websterville. Highland Sugarworks was recently
rated as "the best tasting" maple syrup by Cooks Illustrated.
Highland Sugarworks' Pancake Pail (another wonderful gift
pack) received first place in the 1999 Fancy Food and Culinary
Products annual packaging award competition. |
