Highland Sugarworks wins NASFT Product Award for Outstanding Packaging and Design
Websterville, Vermont---July 9, 2003---Highland Sugarworks’ pure maple syrup has won the prestigious National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT) annual Product Awards Competition. Bentley, a sweet snowman-shaped bottle filled with the finest pure maple syrup available has won in the Outstanding Packaging and Design category.
Highland Sugarworks celebrates Vermont’s history with their magical, maple syrup-filled snowman, Bentley. Wilson A. Bentley (1865-1931) made the wonderful discovery that no two snowflakes are alike. Back in 1885, Wilson “Snowflake” Bentley was the first person ever to photograph a single snow crystal. He captured more than five thousand in his lifetime, and didn’t find any two alike. More information about Snowflake Bentley and his discovery can be found at www.snowflakebentley.com.
In the tradition of Highland Sugarworks’ award-winning packaging, Bentley has a personality that everyone will want on their breakfast table. His flowing tartan scarf and top hat will charm the kids. The pure maple syrup will delight everyone when drizzled on fluffy waffles and perfectly stacked pancakes. He makes a perfect gift for the holidays.
Founded in 1986, Highland Sugarworks consists of an 8,000 tap sugaring operation in Starksboro, Vermont and a bottling facility in Websterville, Vermont. They carry the finest pure maple syrup available as well as a line of all-natural baking mixes. For more information on Highland Sugarworks visit them online at www.highlandsugarworks.com.
