VT, March 5, 1998 -- Highland Sugarworks, Inc., producer and packer
of the world's finest pure maple syrup, announces that Cook's
Illustrated agrees: Highland Sugarworks is simply the best tasting
maple syrup! The April 1998 issue of the magazine reports the results
of a taste test in which Highland Sugarworks Grade B pure Vermont
maple syrup beat out everyone else's Grade A! Tasters' comments
included "great maple flavor" and "tastes real."
We can only imagine how well our Grade A would have done!
Grade
B maple syrup certainly has a stronger flavor than Grade A. It is
perfectly suitable for a table syrup, and really great for cooking.
In 1997, Highland Sugarworks introduced Cooking Maple, which
is the same Grade B that won the taste test in Cook's Illustrated.
Though we market Cooking Maple as an ingredient, we make
sure to point out on the label that it's also delicious on pancakes
and waffles. (Vermonter have known this secret for generations.)
